Includes a receipt roll of Clendenin from the War of 1812.

 Abstract:  The War of 1812 papers consist primarily of material relating to accounts between the United States and various military paymasters, 1812-1815, mostly signed by Lieutenant David Clendenin, paymaster, Poland, Ohio. Includes correspondence, regimental orders, muster, regiment, and pay rolls, newspaper clippings, and lists of soldiers in various companies (including rolls of 18 companies stationed in Massachusetts and a roll of Vermont militiamen).
